How Chhoriko Ghar Began

Chhoriko Ghar was born from a simple but profound truth: every elder deserves to live out their final years surrounded by love, dignity and purpose.

Founded on Baisakh 19, 2080 B.S., our ashram began as a small initiative in Bhaktapur with the mission of providing a safe, nurturing and culturally rooted environment for senior citizens from all corners of Nepal.

Today, Chhoriko Ghar stands as a symbol of humanity and gratitude — a living testament to the belief that a society is measured by how it treats its elders.
